In April 2025, Black Diamond Industries announced a significant expansion of services under its Ertel division, launching a new Electrical Distribution arm to better serve the growing infrastructure and development needs across the region. To lead this strategic initiative, Black Diamond has appointed Layne King to oversee the division.
Layne brings a depth of operational leadership and business acumen, with a proven track record of managing multimillion-dollar enterprises across multiple functions. His background includes leading fast-paced, high-growth businesses where he successfully directed operations, human resources, accounting, payroll, inventory control, and logistics. He has also developed and implemented systems for inventory forecasting and efficiency improvements—skills that will directly benefit Ertel’s newest service line.
Under Layne’s leadership, the Electrical Distribution division will deliver reliable, turnkey solutions for utility and site development projects, ensuring continuity and streamlined coordination for clients. His ability to recruit and retain high-performing teams further strengthens Black Diamond’s commitment to delivering excellence across all its business units.
This expansion is a key milestone in Black Diamond Industries’ long-term vision—building a fully integrated service model through its three operating divisions: Paragon Siteworks, Ertel, and Berkeley Recycling.
